About this journey
Ujjain Junction is only two kilometres from the Mahakal gates, and autos wait outside it at all hours. A car is worth booking when you are arriving before dawn, when there is a lot of luggage, or when somebody in the party would rather not haggle at five in the morning.
We send you the driver’s number the night before and he waits on the platform side.

- Is this worth booking at all?
- Honestly, not always. Autos are cheap and plentiful outside the station. Book it for a night arrival, for heavy luggage, or for elderly parents.
- What if the train is late?
- We go by the live running time. There is no charge for a train that runs late.
- When do we pay?
- At the end of the journey, to the driver. Nothing is taken on this site and there is no account to create.
- What if we cancel?
- Tell us the day before and there is nothing to pay. A car that has already set out for you is a different matter, and we would talk to you about it rather than apply a rule.
