About this journey

The Baglamukhi temple at Nalkheda stands on the bank of the Lakhundar, about a hundred and thirty kilometres north of Ujjain. Havan is performed there through the day and many families go specifically to have one done.

If you are having the puja performed, the car waits for the whole of it. A havan is not a thing to hurry, and a hired car that has to be back by a certain hour is the wrong way to attend one.

How the day goes

  1. Picked up at your hotel at about six in the morning.

  2. Nalkheda by nine or half past.

  3. Havan or darshan, for as long as it takes. The driver waits.

  4. Back in Ujjain by evening.

Times are the usual shape of the day, not a timetable. The driver works to you.

Questions people ask

Can you arrange the havan as well as the car?
Yes. Tell us when you book the car and we will arrange the pandit and the samagri at the temple for the same day.
How long does the havan take?
It depends on the sankalp, and it is the pandit who decides, not us. Allow most of the morning.
Is the road good?
It is reasonable the whole way. Allow about three hours each way rather than the two and a half a map will suggest.
When do we pay?
At the end of the journey, to the driver. Nothing is taken on this site and there is no account to create.
What if we cancel?
Tell us the day before and there is nothing to pay. A car that has already set out for you is a different matter, and we would talk to you about it rather than apply a rule.

Fares are for the whole car and are confirmed with you in writing before the car is sent. Distances and driving times are approximate and change with the road, the traffic and the season. Darshan and aarti timings at any temple on this route are set by that temple, not by UjjainSeva, and entry is never guaranteed.
