About Hotel Kailash

Hotel Kailash stands on Harsiddhi Marg, the road that runs between the Mahakal complex and the Harsiddhi temple. It is a few minutes further out than Avantika and the rooms are correspondingly bigger, which is the right trade for two or three nights rather than one.

The road itself is one of the pleasanter walks in the old town: shops, lamps and foot traffic rather than main-road motor noise. The Harsiddhi deep stambhs are at the end of it.

Cancellation
Free up to 48 hours before check-in on ordinary dates. Festival dates, Shravan Mondays and Mahashivratri are quoted with their own terms, which we state in writing before anything is held.
ID at check-in
One government photo ID for every adult guest at check-in. Aadhaar, passport, driving licence or voter ID. A PAN card is not accepted as ID.
Children
Children under 5 stay free in the existing bedding. Ages 5 to 12 are charged for an extra bed where one is needed.

An extra mattress can be added to most rooms. The charge is confirmed with your quote.
Paying
Nothing is taken on this site. We confirm the room and the rate with you on WhatsApp, and you pay the hotel at check-in unless the date needs an advance, in which case we say so first.

Questions people ask

Is the walk to the temple manageable at night?
Harsiddhi Marg is lit and busy well before dawn on aarti mornings, and you will not be the only family walking it. If you would rather not, we will have an auto at the door.
Can we get breakfast before we leave?
The dining room opens early on request. Tell us when you book and we will arrange it rather than leave you to ask at six in the morning.
Do the rooms face the road?
Some do. Road-facing rooms are brighter and noisier; the inside rooms are quieter and darker. Say which you prefer and we will ask for it.
